This workshop is designed to teach parents and early childhood educators about speech and language development in young children.
Participants will learn about the speech and language milestones that children from birth to 5 years of age move through, including how children understand language, use language, produce speech sounds, and interact in play with others.
Participants will also learn some general strategies they can use to support the development of communication skills in children, while also discussing signs that may indicate that a referral for speech and/or language support may be warranted.
This group is facilitated by a Speech Language Pathologist and may be covered by your Insurance or Extended Health Plan.
