Key Connections Consulting Inc. (KCC) is a multidisciplinary team of
professionals including Behaviour Consultants, Counsellors, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists. We are dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth, and adults who have challenges by helping them reach their full potential.
We are currently recruiting a 1.0 FTE Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. The position is located in Lethbridge. In addition to individual office space, KCC has smaller treatment rooms, as well as, larger group spaces with a wide variety of treatment and assessment resources.
- We are looking for a diverse, enthusiastic, and innovative professional with the ability to multi-task and manage a flexible schedule.
- The individual must be comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team and will attend both multidisciplinary team meetings and speech-language pathology team meetings.
- SLPA will follow goals outlined in a treatment plan, provide group facilitation and document client progress under the direction of a Speech-Language Pathologist. Materials and resources for planning are provided.
- SLPA will support the SLP Team with material preparation, support with screenings, documentation, filing, and program development.
- Individual must have strong time management skills and ability to organize daily activities and priorities.
- Services may be provided at our location, schools and homes, primarily working with the preschool and school age population.
- Experience working with individuals who have Developmental Disabilities, understanding of varied socio-economic factors, and competency supporting multi-cultural needs is an asset.
- Out of town travel is a requirement and employees are compensated for travel costs.
Additional requirements include:
- Undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Criminal Record and Child Intervention check are required
