• The individual must be comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team and will be expected to participate in assessment, planning, and implementation of intervention programs.

• Speech-Language Pathology supports occur within the home, community and clinic settings. In addition, a large portion of the position is within the school setting.

• Experience working with children on the autism spectrum and those requiring AAC devices is an asset.

• The successful candidate will provide services to children, youth, possibly some adults, as well as provide consultation and supervision to in-home support aides, educational assistants, and Speech-Language assistants.

• Experience working with individuals who have Developmental Disabilities, understanding of varied socio-economic factors, and competency supporting multi-cultural needs is an asset.

• Out of town travel is a requirement and employees are compensated for travel costs. Additional requirements include:

• Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• The successful applicant must be registered or eligible to be registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)

We are dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth, and adults who have challenges by helping them reach their full potential. We are currently recruiting a 1.0 FTE Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. The position is located in Lethbridge. • The individual will be working with a team of Speech-Language Pathologists.

• SLPA will follow goals outlined in a treatment plan, provide group facilitation and document client progress under the direction of a Speech-Language Pathologist. Materials and resources for planning are provided.

• SLPA will support the SLP Team with material preparation, support with screenings, documentation, filing, and program development.

• Individual must have strong time management skills and ability to organize daily activities and priorities.

• Services may be provided at our location, schools and homes, primarily working with the school age population.

• Experience working with individuals who have Developmental Disabilities, understanding of varied socio-economic factors, and competency supporting multi-cultural needs is an asset.

Youth Program Facilitator

We are dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth, and adults who have challenges by helping them reach their full potential.
We are currently recruiting a 0.7 FTE (26.25 Hrs/Wk) to support our Senior Youth Program Ages 15+ (I.C.E. Independence, Competency, Employment) & Junior Youth Program Ages 12-15 (I.C.E. Independence, Competency, Experience) position. The position is located in Lethbridge, AB and is available immediately.

Skills:
•We are looking for a diverse, enthusiastic and innovative professional with the ability to multi-task and manage a flexible schedule
•The successful candidate will co-facilitate group programming to youth with developmental or mental health needs. Programming will include the development of life skills, social skills and pre-employment training
•An understanding of varied socio-economic factors, and competency supporting multi-cultural needs is beneficial
•Familiar with developmental disabilities and mental health is a requirement
•Strong coaching skills, positive communication skills, and the ability to motivate others
•Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
•Knowledge of Family Supports for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) is an asset
•Group skills and an understanding of disabilities and mental health are both an asset
