Melanie Winters has been a passionate Early Childhood Educator for 25 years. Much of her time was dedicated to teaching preschool aged children as an Early Learning Educator for local school divisions. She also had the opportunity of owning a local Preschool business and partnered with several school divisions to provide developmentally appropriate programming for young children. Her experience working with a variety of children with diverse needs and backgrounds increased her enthusiasm for learning more about inclusivity, Building Brains and building a strong foundation of learning through play-based programming.
Her background in Early Childhood Education nicely compliments her new role at KCC as an Inclusive Childcare Coach. She is excited to support families, children of all ages and colleagues in her new role as well as learn from so many talented professionals at KCC.
In her spare time, Melanie enjoys travelling, staying active, pilates, spending time with family and friends, crafting and sharing time with her family at her vacation site in BC.
